James R. Lucas, P.E., Ph.D.
Mr. Lucas began his career in management working for such companies as Black & Veatch Consulting Engineers, Hallmark Cards, and VF Corporation.
Jim received his education at the University of Missouri (Columbia and Rolla), including a B.S. and Ph.D. (h.c.) in Engineering Management from UMR. He is a member of the American Society of Engineering Management, American Society of Training & Development, a senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and a Registered Professional Engineer in Missouri and Kansas. He was the first graduate of UMR’s Engineering Management Program to receive a Professional Engineering license in both Missouri and Kansas. While in Rolla, he served as a member of the Student Union Board and Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. From 2005-2007, Jim served as president of the Academy of Engineering Management.
Jim has been honored with continuous listings in Who’s Who in America (1999-2009), Who’s Who in the World (1989-2008), and Who’s Who in Finance & Industry (1989-2009). |

Director of Operations
Peter B. Lucas received his MBA with a dual emphasis in Operations Management & Leadership from the Bloch School of Business & Public Administration at the University of Missouri, Kansas city. For nearly 10 years, Pete worked in manufacturing with Herff Jones, a leader in educational recognition products, where he supervised their state-of-the-art digital imaging department.
Pete has been listed in Who's Who of Professional Management and is a member Omicron Delta Epsilon, Zeta Chapter of Missouri (honor society in Economics), and the Association for Operations Management (APICS). Pete sits on the Bloch School Alumni Board, and has taught Master's level Operations Management courses at the University of Missouri, Kansas City's Bloch School.
Director of Quality
Jim Stanley has over 20 years in quality system management and development, medical device regulatory, training and auditing. Jim has led the ISO 13485 certification of eight medical device companies including three Fortune 100 companies, one of which was a pharmaceutical company with a drug delivery device. He has held management positions at medical device companies and contract research organizations.
In addition to consulting work Jim conducts ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 audits for a major European notified body, NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland).
Jim holds a Master of Science in Industrial Management from Central Missouri State University. His certifications include: RAC – Regulatory Affairs Certification with the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society. CQE – Certified Quality Engineer with the American Society for Quality. CQA – Certified Quality Auditor with the American Society for Quality. ISO Lead Assessor – with the International Registrar of Certificated Auditors in London. Canadian Medical Devices Lead Auditor with Health Canada.
Office & Purchasing Manager
Ally Herrero-Montgomery started her career in the Human Resources department of a large hotel on her home island of Guam, specializing in Payroll and Benefits management. After more than 5 years as the HR Supervisor, Ally moved to the Mid-West where she worked for 2 years as office manager for another Kansas City manufacturer before joining Dadson’s management team in 2006. Her Human Resources experience combined with her office management skills continue to allow us to provide our partners and customers exceptional Customer Service. Through close collaboration with the quality department, Ally is also able to secure and maintain positive relationships with our purchasing partners.
Shop Manager
Shane Cowden has spent more than a dozen years in manufacturing. For 6 of the past 12 years, Shane supervised up to 20 employees and managed scheduling, inventory, and quality. In addition, he is a certified machinist with expertise in engineering and product development as well as automotive and small parts manufacturing. He has spent much of his time in supervision training new employees and has built a solid manufacturing team at Dadson Corporation. Since his start with Dadson in 2006, Shane has risen through the ranks to become our shop manager, responsible for day-to-day manufacturing operations. |
